How updates reach you
When a new version of Simply Sam is ready, we let you know by email.
The claim link from your purchase is your download door. It is the same link that gave you Simply Sam when you bought it, and it always leads to the newest version you are entitled to.
The app itself never checks for updates, downloads anything, or sends anything. Nothing on your computer changes unless you choose to download a new version and run it yourself, and your plan file is never touched.
Two kinds of updates
- Free fixes. Small corrections and improvements to your edition come at no extra cost. If you own an edition, its fixes are yours.
- Yearly editions. Once a year a new edition carries that year's updated tax and benefit rules, so your projections keep pace with the law. Owners with update coverage receive the new edition as part of that coverage.
